Advice and investment to help founders starting up, scaling up and exiting.

Great to be the business advisor on the Shark Tank 2023 Series

Loved working with the Curio Pictures Team on the Disney owned Shark Tank series. So many inspiring entrepreneurs with great ventures for the Sharks to invest in. Looking forward to seeing the final production on Channel 10 soon.

Who We Work With

Companies with >10X growth potential

I am currently invested in 8 companies ranging in size from early stage revenue to >$150M. My companies operate internationally in over 50 countries, employ over 3,000 people, spanning technology, healthcare, hospitality, retail, manufacturing, security & business services. I also advise a select number of privately owned companies, normally with a view to future investment. Finally I lead and assist in the sale process helping founders prepare and maximise the value of their company at exit.

Area Of Expertise

I have helped numerous companies grow from pre revenue to their first million dollar profit. Advised all the way from the first dollars of revenue through to successful exits.

Advice | start up | scale up | exit

My best investments have begun with an advisory relationship. I get to know you. You get to know me. I get to understand the business. The good, the bad and the ugly. I get to see how well we work together and the sort of value I can bring to your company. I only want to be invested in companies where I believe I will be an important member of the team and can actively drive the value of my investment. After we have worked together, if it makes sense for both of us, then the transition to investment is a logical progression.

Typically we meet once a month as if I am already an investor and on your board. We run through a typical board agenda with key action items agreed each meeting. Between meetings I am available for ad hoc questions, reviews. The process is designed to get your company "investor ready". Because of my network, I am often able to make introductions that prove useful - lawyers, accountants, capital raising firms, designers, copywriters, marketers, other investors & board members, domain experts, developers.

Investment

I have helped companies with early stage capital. My own and assisting with raises. I typically play a role as an advisor or non executive director. The journey from start up to exit is typically 5-10 years so it is really important that the right people and investors are on board for the journey. I find investing in early stage companies both personally and financially rewarding. It's an exciting job to have, helping entrepreneurs make their dreams come true. Be they emergency physicians, software developers, personal trainers, industrial designers, psychologists or whatever role they have had before they became "The Founder".
